Learn About the Bag Counter

The bag counter runs from midnight to 11:59 pm and restarts each day. It is based on the following facts:

• The Kroger Co. stores that are participating in this promotion sell an average of 12,953 reusable bags per day (source: Kroger; based on data collected February 2008 through January 2009).
• Each reusable bag used by shoppers has the potential to eliminate an average of 1,000 plastic bags over its lifetime.

Register

When you register for the contest, you also will be registered with Kroger.

Being registered allows you to:

• Sign up to receive email, including your weekly ad.
• View your Shopper's Card points online, including fuel points.
• Create and save a shopping list online.
• See what's happening at your local store.

Get a Shopper's Card

Sign up for a Shopper's Card by printing and completing a Shopper's Card application (PDF) and taking it to your local store. (Note: This PDF file requires Adobe® Reader®. Get a free download.)

Shopper's Card applications also are readily available in stores. Signing up is very simple, takes less than a minute, and is free. Stop by the customer service desk before you begin shopping and ask for a Shopper's Card application. Your savings will begin on that very trip. You also can apply for a new card online.

Buy Your Bag

We've partnered with CafePress.com to help you purchase a reusable bag with your own printed design. We transfer your design. CafePress prints the design. You show off your stylish bag!

To purchase your design on a canvas bag, click Buy your bag on CafePress.com on the confirmation page after you submit your design or Buy Your Bag under View My Designs. Once on CafePress, you will have the opportunity to purchase your bag through a secure checkout process.
